This is the context specific help for Find Files N Replace for function Show Sort Sequence. It will be show when Shift+F1 is pressed after using menu item Show Sort Sequence on menu "View".

'Show Sort Sequence' - Program Help start.

This option is used to display the list of columns included in the current sort sequence.

If a new sort order is being defined using Alt+X, the columns that have been selected for the new sort order will also be shown.
See a new sort order can be defined using the mouse or the Sort file list key [X]

The sort sequence can also be seen by looking at the column headers of the file list.

The header of the first sort column will be prefixed *
The header of the second sort column will be prefixed +
The header of the third sort column will be prefixed -
The header of the fourth sort column will be prefixed :
The header of the fifth and all subsequent sort columns will be prefixed .

When there are more than five sort columns, the exact sort order of the fifth and all subsequent sort columns can only be seen using Show Sort Sequence.

A second sort column is added to a sort order to specify in which order lines should be listed when they have the same value for the first sort column.
A third sort column is added to a sort order to specify in which order lines should be listed when they have the same value for the first and second sort columns.
Etc.

Example: Sort By Path.
This will sort all entries in the file list in alphabetic order of FilePath column.
Within the part of the list with entries that have the same path, lines will be sorted in order of the filename column.
This sort is described in standard sort sequences above as * FilePath / + FileName.
The FilePath column header will show on the file list as *FilePath.
The FileName column will show on the file list as +FileName.
