'Split - Set Col - Current Col' - Program Help start.

Set the columns in the file list which will remain fixed (and grey) when you move across the list.

Select any col (in GREEN) with the leftarrow/rightarrow keys and use "Current Row" to set that column and all columns to the left of it to be fixed.
Usually the left one or two columns will be icons and No. which will be fixed.

Use these options to add or remove columns from the fixed part.
When the scroll keys (Rightarrow, End, Home, etc) or scroll bar at the bottom of the list is used to move left and right and show different columns of the list, the fixed part will continue to be visible. Only the (white) rightmost part will be changed.

"Split - Set Col" or "Split - Set Row And Col" on the GREEN Right-Click menu for the file list will change fixed cols in the same way as Current Col.

Use "Add Col..." [Ctrl+J] to add a column to the fixed part.

Use "Remove Col ..." [Ctrl+Alt+J] to remove a column to the fixed part.
