About k-free.co.uk
k-free.co.uk has existed for 9 years already and has a small selection of completely free programs with a more old fashioned interface.
Our emphasis is on using keyboard shortcuts to get boring tasks done quickly and efficiently.
We are less interested in the latest (broken) feature or "special-white", "special-opaque-blue" (or whatever it is this year) screen.
These products were developed for Windows XP, 2000 and windows 95/98.
They also work fine on later versions of Windows but when you install you will see security warnings from Windows Vista or 7.
The meaning of the security warning is that this company hass not paid 100$ to 1000$ per year to a registrar.
You can make your own decision whether such "security" is something you want to use or support.
If you need help, please consider the following:
- does the registrar have any liability if you suffer a loss?
- Would a scammer stealing bank details be happy paying a registrar?
- Does the registrar even promise that they do any significant check on the regsitered party?
- How far would you clasify yourself as stupid and trusting of big corporations on a scale of 1-10?
- Is it time to change that?
